It has a low melting temperature, so to make this mix, melt the oil and stir in your essential oil drops. Pour it into a container and let it harden. Before you go outside, apply it like a lotion on your hands, arms, and legs.
Option 2: Witch Hazel
What you’ll need:
- 1/2 cup witch hazel
- 50 drops of essential oil
- Spray bottle
Mix together your witch hazel and essential oils. Pour the formula into a spray bottle and apply before heading outside.
Option 3: Vinegar Homemade Repellent
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 50 drops of essential oil
- Spray bottle
Just like the witch hazel option, mix together the vinegar and essential oils, then apply before heading outside. While vinegar has a strong scent, the essential oils mask the smell.
