Pest Technician Advancement Program

 

👋 Welcome to the Green Pest Solutions Technician Advancement Program.

Below, you will find helpful links and information pertaining to the program.

 

✳️ Tier 1 – Technician

  • Experience: 90 days at GPS
  • Pesticide Licensing: Maintain Registered Technician License
  • Training:
    • Attend and participate in Bi-Weekly Meetings (Discussion/Feedback)
    • NPMA Intro to Pest Groups
    • Complete and pass the internal Paylocity Exam: “Technician Advancement Program (TAP) – Pest Technician”.
  • Performance: Rating in Paylocity of 3.0 or greater.  Most recent QA Backtrack Audit Score >80%+.  No corrective action within last 6 months. No missing PIN Checklists, Unsigned Agreements

✳️ Tier 2 – Certified Technician

  • Experience: 6 months of applicator experience or 12 months industry experience.
  • Pesticide Licensing: Obtain core and household pest category in the primary state you are based in.
  • Training:
    • Mentors/Trains a new Technician
    • Presents/Assists Manager on Meeting Topic
    • NPMA Trainings:
      1. Ants: Biology, Behavior, and Control.
      2. Stinging Insects.
      3. Controlling Cockroaches.
      4. Rodenticide Stewardship.
      5. Bed Bug Basics.
      6. Attend (3) CEU Short courses/offsite trainings.
      7. CPR Certified – Virtual Training on demand.
      8. OSHA 10 Training (complete last).
  • Safety: Zero at fault vehicle accidents/safety incidents due to negligence in the last 12 months(rolling calendar). Driver safety score >85% in Azuga in the last 6 months(rolling calendar).
  • Performance: Rating in Paylocity of 3.0 or greater.  Most recent QA Backtrack Audit Score >85%+.  No corrective action within last 6 months. No missing PIN Checklists, Unsigned Agreements or missed Billing within the last 30 days.
  • Pay Increase: $1.00/Hour
Training Materials

✳️ Tier 3 – Senior Technician

  • Experience: 24 months of industry experience with at least 12 of those months at GPS
  • Pesticide Licensing: Maintain core and household pest category credits & obtain termite/wood destroying pest category.
  • Training:
    • Mentors/Trains new Technicians
    • Presents/Assists Manager with a Bi-Weekly Meeting Topic
    • NPMA Trainings:
    • Using Pyrethroids Responsibly for Effective Pest Management.
    • Social and Solitary Hymenoptera
    • PMPs as Protectors of Public Health.
    • Wood Destroying Beetles.
    • NPMA-33 Wood Destroying Insect Report. &
    • Complete Sentricon Univ. – Become Sentricon Certified.
    • Attend (5) CEU pesticide short courses/offsite trainings.
    • Recent QA Backtrack Audit Score >90%+
  • Safety: Zero at fault vehicle accidents/safety incidents due to negligence in the last 12 months(rolling calendar). Driver safety score >90% in Azuga in the last 6 months(rolling calendar).
  • Performance: Rating in Paylocity of 3.0 or greater.  Most recent QA Backtrack Audit Score >90%+.  No corrective action within last 6 months. No missing PIN Checklists, Unsigned Agreements or missed billing within the last 60 days.
  • Pay Increase: $1.50/Hour
Training Materials

✳️ Tier 4 – Industry Certified Pest Specialists

  • Experience: 36 months of industry experience with at least 18 months at GPS.
  • Pesticide Licensing: Maintain core/category credits & obtain reciprocated licenses in service lines in all states we service (PA,NJ,DE).
  • Training:
    • Mentors/Trains new Technicians
    • Presents/Assists Manager with a Bi-Weekly Meeting Topic
    • Complete NPMA A.C.E Exam Preparation Course
    • Pass A.C.E. Exam – Obtain Associate Certified Entomologist.
  • Safety: Zero at fault vehicle accidents/safety incidents due to negligence in the last 12 months(rolling calendar). Driver safety score >90% in Azuga in the last 6 months(rolling calendar).
  • Performance: Rating in Paylocity of 3.0 or greater.  Most recent QA Backtrack Audit Score >90%+.  No corrective action within last 6 months. No missing PIN Checklists, Unsigned Agreements or missed billing within the last 90 days.
  • Pay Increase: $2.00/Hour
